The 2nd pub visited on our trip to Hampstead, mainly because we were a bit peckish…
The Old White Bear is a gastro-pub erring towards the restaurant rather than the bar. Two real ales on tap – Abbot Ale (Greene King) or Fuller’s London Pride, so I opted for a half of the latter. It was served nicely as was the food – typically gastro-pub style, the food being served on a slab of tree (possibly oak?). This did of course mean gastro-pub prices and lite-bites weren’t exactly on offer.
Overall verdict – great for a nice meal out. Not somewhere to go specifically for the ale.
