The Salisbury is a great refuge pub. It’s next door to Oxford Road station – which means it’s really handy if you have a few minutes spare whilst waiting for a train. The music is good and the beer is usually good but due to it’s location it is a little more expensive than I’m used to in Manchester. On this visit I took in a pint of Caley 80/- (Caledonian 80 shillings) which was OK but not as awesome as Scotty puts on in the Mitre.
To sum up: good music, a good range of beer and good location make this a pub a must visit for Manchester.
